Clearer date attributes
Currently all date attributes have the possibility to specify a range of dates with optional exact start and end time. This is good in timeline and calendar views to visualize the time spans of different tasks. However, there is no way to filter based on this whole period. Automatic reminders and KQL queries only take into account the end of the specified time span and so only this will be the true due date or deadline. The current workaround is rather clumsy - I have to have one date range to visualize the period as well as get actual deadlines…
2 votesHi,
You can already access the start date in KQL queries!
For example, with an attribute called Due Date, the syntax is “{Due Date:start}”. -
Link Cards on Timeline view
Linking cards on Timeline view would speed-up the planning process.
Timeline dates would then be automatically adjusted/locked when a linked card changes.
E.g. when a user changes a card End Date, it automatically changes all other dependants cards' Start Date, keeping their duration.3 votesThis is already possible! But it is quite hidden in settings menu, and only available for relationship attributes. See http://help.kantree.io/guides/organize-a-project/#attribute-card-relationship

View cards of sub-boards in higher board (enable/disable)
For me, the most unique features of kantree over similar tools are
a) the ability to make highly customizable matrix views combining several labels/groups with filters and
b) the ability to use hierarchical objects in terms of sub-boards for sub-dividing complex tasks inside the kanban view. That takes multi-group sprint-planning to a whole new level if used properly and makes it superior over paper-based working in my opinion. It may solve the problem of complex kanban-boards: Not enough space for epics/sprints in one single view.
BUT it does not really come together because there is no way of showing/grouping all…
3 votesHi,
The ability to flatten the hierarchy of cards in a project has been added in the 6.2 release!
You will find the options in the filter menu : http://help.kantree.io/guides/organize-a-project/#filter-cards

Filtering unscheduled tasks in the calendar view
In the calendar view, it's great that you can see all your unscheduled tasks and then drag them into the calendar. But what would make this better is if you could filter these by specific tags/groups/categories/stages. This would help you balance the workload better across all of your projects and key areas as well as ensuring the right objectives and priorities are being focused on when you're scheduling tasks
1 voteThe filter bar is now available in calendar. You can filter your scheduled and unscheduled cards. Thanks for your feedback.

Filter comment section between activity and comments
In the comments section, it'd be nice to filter between comments and activity. It's a bit messy and hard to see what's going on when you're having to search through activities to find the right comment and vice versa.
1 voteHi Daniel
You can filter your card stream using the little arrow next to the “Activity” tab name.
This setting will be saved locally (in your browser) so you won’t have to modify it every day.Regards,

Board Template
I would like to have a template that I can create and use for creating new boards. The Template would contain the groups, and the attributes of the groups, to be created for new boards using the template.
3 votesYou can already create templates in Kantree.
When you’ve opened a project, click on its name in the navigation bar, and select “Save as template”.
You then will be able to use this new template when you create new projects. You will find all your custom templates in your organization page, see http://help.kantree.io/guides/organizations#project-templates

Templates with cards
Templates which incorporate cards would be massively helpful for me. This way I can establish templates ready-to-use for all sorts of (repetitive yet complex) tasks...
9 votesHello,
As part of the 6.2 release, you can now create cards in your templates.
Thanks for your feedback,

Cards due today
The "new" cards overview on the right of the screen is very useful.
But I think it could be improves : what about having between "Overdue cards assigned to me" and "Due cards assigned to me" a "Cards due today assigned to me" section ?
An other way of displaying this better could be to sort "due cards assigned to me" by due date.
Best Regards
Arnaud1 voteYou can add your own sections to the “my work” area. At the bottom of the panel, there is a “Add a section, type a search query” field.
For example, to add the “Cards due today assigned to me”, type “@me {due date}=today state!=done” and press enter. You can then re-order the sections by drag&dropping them.
We are planning to add sorting capabilities soon as well as improving the UX of this feature :)

Show all tasks from all boards on the same hierarchy level
I create projects as cards on the highest hierarchy level. Then I decomposit the project on subtasks and so on. The same team is working on multiple projects (cards).
Now I wish to see all the sub-tasks for all of the projects (highest hierarchy cards) as well as filter them by assigned user and can't do so :(
19 votesThis is now possible! There is an option “include all descendants” in the project filter menu. It will flatten the hierarchy of cards. You can then save this in a view.

Mirror card
Be great to be able to mirror a single card (not duplicate) to display within multiple Kanban flows.

Assign Tasks within card (check lists)
This would be great for assigning tasks within a user story.

option for: when opening a list item, default view is tasks, not activity
Could you add an option to see an items tasks by default, instead of activity? Usually, I care less about what has happened to the item than I do what actions the items requires.
Anyway, keep up the good work. I love the app, and I'm just waiting for a few more things, like re-ordering of lists, before I really dive in.
4 votesYou can now reorder the tabs in your card by drag and dropping them. Then you can put the tasks tab first and it will be open by default on your cards.
About re-ordering, you can now choose what kind of ordering you want in your list: a custom order, or by name, by reference, by state, number of subtasks…

Edit or Delete a created tag
I've created tags then later on decided to rename them with the old ones lingering around. I can remove them from a card, but I no longer want to see them in the dropdown list to prevent mislabeling.

Create cards by email
Allow board members to create a card by email.

Localized UI
German language support would be pretty awesome. I can provide translations if wanted :)
Denis12 votesKantree now supports German language! You’ll find the option in your user account.
Feel free to give us feedback if you saw typos or untranslated texts.

Make the "Colored Tags" of cards stand out more.
It would be usefull if the colored tags on cards would be a bit more visible on the cards in the main Kanban view; we are actually using trello at the moment and are using the colors of the cards as a status of the project; eg: "Offered" (orange), "confirmed" (green), "canceled" (red) and so on. This way, with one look at your cards you know the status of the project (each card is one project).
4 votesThis is now possible!

Customizable dashboard / search all boards
I'd really like to see a way to put certain cards/lists/labels on my dashboard, for a quick overview of my current relevant cards. Or atleast some way to search through all my boards.
Right now, I have to browse through all my boards to do this and my assigned cards isn't really what I'm looking for.
11 votesDashboard includes customizable card queries in the right sidebar. It will let you do any queries.
We also have a global search in the top bar. Finally, we are working on a new version of the dashboard layout. -

As Eric said already, it’s supported on github-flavor.
